Literacy in the Early Years Classroom FILLING
Limited Capacity filling up

There are some debates up until now about the importance of teaching literacy in the early years classroom. Some would say that reading and writing shouldn’t be taught in the preschool level. But most of the primary school especially here in Indonesia, still put a requirement of must being able to read and write when a child enroll for the primary. This workshop will be discussing about how to incorporate literacy in the early years classroom, without being to force it to the children, finding the suitable level of literacy based on the children’s development milestones. It will be discussing about the strategies of making children to grow the love of reading books, both physical and digital, in the classroom.
